Health Savings Dental Discounts Program - $69.95 per year


The Dental Discounts Program offers union members discounts on dental care, vision care, prescription drugs, diabetic supplies, foot and ankle care and hearing care - at participating health care providers. Search for participating health care providers in your area. 

Save 20% to 50% off the standard charges on most dental procedures. Typical services include:

  • annual dental exams,
  • cleanings,
  • fillings,
  • X-rays,
  • root canals,
  • extractions,
  • crowns,
  • bridges,
  • and orthodontics (braces).

With more than 8 million customers and growing, the Union Plus program provider, Careington International, was among the first companies to offer discount dental plans and is a founding member of the Consumer Health Alliance (CHA), a trade group that promotes fair and ethical business practices within the discount health care industry. CHA members work with regulators to adopt industry standards for consumer protection and program integrity.

This plan does not meet the minimum creditable coverage requirements under M.G.L. c. 111M and 956 CMR 5.00. The plan provides discounts at certain health care providers for medical services. The range of discounts will vary depending on the type of provider and service. The plan does not make payments directly to the providers of medical services. Plan members are obligated to pay for all health care services but will receive a discount from those health care providers who have contracted with the discount medical plan organization. You may access a list of participating health care providers at www.UnionPlus.org/HealthSavings. Upon request the plan will make available a written list of participating health care providers. You have the right to cancel within the first 30 days after receipt of membership materials and receive a full refund, less a nominal processing fee (nominal fee for MD residents is $5). The program and its administrators have no liability for providing or guaranteeing service by providers or the quality of service rendered by providers. This program is not available in Montana and Vermont. Eligibility

This program is for United States residents and not available in Canada and Guam. The Dental Discounts Program is not available in Montana and Vermont.

Who is eligible?

  • Dues-paying labor union members of participating unions
  • Retired union members
  • Widows/widowers of union members
  • Spouse, domestic partners, and children may be included
  • Union Plus credit cardholders

    Your union membership dictates which Union Plus benefits you are eligible to use.

    1. What your national union’s name (not just your local number)? Scroll through the list we have to see if you recognize your union.
    2. What type of work do you do (select your occupation)?
    3. Do you have a union member card or union publication/letter that shows the name of your union? Find something with the name of your union, not just a local number.
    4. Is there a shop steward or work colleague you can ask what the name of your union is? You can even ask your human resources department to tell you the full name of your union?
    5. Do you have a Union Plus Credit Card? If so, the name and logo for your international union should appear on the front of the card.
